Together with the Pro Loco Nediške doline – Valli del Natisone APS, set out to explore the woods, meadows, and trails that will guide you through this enchanting region. Among breathtaking landscapes and crystal-clear waters, you’ll experience an explosion of colors. Rediscover peace and silence as you immerse yourself in unspoiled nature. There are many trails in the Natisone Valleys that can be explored independently, even by those looking for something simple and suitable for everyone. The Trail of the 44 Votive Churches is a great option: divided into 10 stages, it will take you on a journey to discover the hidden treasure of the Slavia Friulana—the 44 Votive Churches of the Natisone Valleys.

Grotta d’Antro: nature, history, art, faith, and myth
Along this 300-meter route, you’ll discover a small portion of a vast underground world—still alive and shaped by water. It’s a labyrinth that winds through multiple levels and extends over five kilometers into the heart of Mount Mladesiena, featuring small lakes, vast chambers, winding passages, and deep vertical shafts. A unique treasure nestled in this green corner of Italy and Europe.

SMO – Museum of Landscapes and Stories: a new and engaging way to observe the landscape
SMO (Slovensko multimedialno okno – Museum of Landscapes and Stories), located in San Pietro al Natisone, is dedicated to the cultural landscape stretching from Mount Mangart to the Gulf of Trieste. It represents a new generation of thematic and territorial museums: no longer collection-based, but focused on storytelling.
