Holiday home

My name is Beatrice, and I am the owner of the house called “La via delle trincee” (“The Trench Road”), named because it is located in the area of the old Italian fortification line from the Great War, in Clabuzzaro near Cividale. The little house is dedicated to my grandfather, a “ragazzo del ’99” (a soldier born in 1899), and consists of two beautiful studios named after the locations of the two trenches: Cmerika and Ta na Robu. Neither of the houses has a TV or Wi-Fi—only profound silence. Cmerika features characteristic vaulted arches made of local stone and offers three beds: one double and one single. The furnishings include a fully equipped kitchenette, a windowed bathroom with shower, and a pellet stove. It boasts a panoramic view of the valley and immense tranquility. It also has a terrace furnished with a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying the cool peace and a good book. Ta na Robu is a spacious attic with exposed beams, offering four beds: one double and a bunk bed. The furnishings include a fully equipped kitchenette, a bathroom with shower, and a wood-burning fireplace. It offers a stunning panoramic view of the valley, with a clear sight all the way to the Adriatic Sea. The terrace is furnished with a table and chairs for a romantic dinner amid the green mountains and the distant blue sea.

Location

Clabuzzaro is located in the lush Natisone Valleys, 30 km from Cividale del Friuli and just a few kilometers from Castelmonte, Caporetto, Bovec, Tolmino, and Austria. In less than 20 minutes by foot or mountain bike, you can reach Passo Solarie and the Kolovrat, historic sites from the Great War. The small village of Clabuzzaro (Brieg, meaning “mountain”) boasts a beautiful panoramic view over the Judrio Valley and is sheltered by the slopes of Kolovrat and Matajur. It is surrounded by vast beech, chestnut, and hornbeam forests, as well as wild nature rich in ferns and cyclamen blooms. I also manage the village Osteria, which is available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner by reservation. The Osteria is a rustic venue with a large panoramic terrace overlooking the Judrio Valley.

Check-in at reception is available from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Albergo Diffuso Valli del Natisone Società Cooperativa, Via Arengo della Slavia, 1, 33049 San Pietro al Natisone.
